The City of Brimbank is the second largest municipality in Melbourne with an area of 123 square kilometres and more than 170,000 residents. A large part of the Brooklyn Industrial Precinct sits within the Brimbank CC.
The Brooklyn Industrial Precinct is a priority for Brimbank City Council. It plays an important economic and employment role in Melbourne’s west. Its strategic location close to the Melbourne CBD, major transport links and Port of Melbourne are key strengths of the precinct.
Council adopted The Brooklyn Evolution Strategy as a long term management plan to improve the area and facilitate appropriate growth and development.
This 20 year plan provides a pathway for a productive and innovative industrial environment with greater co-operation between the public and private sectors.
